More than 4,000 (four thousand) ex-militants were captured in the recent amnesty programme of the Ondo state government.
The Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Gbenga Edema, disclosed this in Akure at a news conference to mark his first year in office.
Edema, who is a member of the amnesty programme, said the federal government amnesty office could only accommodate one thousand ex-militants out of the four thousand captured during the exercise.
He said government has approached some companies to ensure that the ex-militants are trained in different vocations.
