The House of Representatives adhoc committee investigating the activities of staff of Nigerian Petroleum Marketing Companies and staff of government owned depots across the country, has begun work. The story of the nation’s refineries is an unhappy one, as the Adhoc-committee, at the Kaduna Depot, finds out in its quest to determine how the depot manages its supply activities. The lawmakers also probe into alleged reports of diversion of petroleum products,
Kaduna Depot controls five zones, yet presently it does not have PMS. Rather, it depends on products from Warri , Port-harcourt and Lagos since the Kaduna refinery stopped working, November last year.
