The American Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington has promised his country’s support for credible elections in Nigeria. Symington was speaking in Ado Ekiti during a courtesy visit to Governor Ayodele Fayose.
TVC News Correspondent, Akin Ogunmola reports that a short documentary on Ekiti State which highlights the achievements of the Fayose administration, preceded speeches during the courtesy visit by the American Ambassador to Nigeria
Addressing his host, the American envoy commended the infrastructural development of Ekiti State under the Fayose administration.
He said his country would work with other stakeholders to ensure free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.
Responding, Fayose called on America to take more interest in the anti-corruption crusade of the Buhari administration which he described as selective.
Exchange of gifts rounded off the visit to Ekiti State of the American Ambassador to Nigeria.
