Muhammad Maigari, Minister of Police Affairs, has promised Nigerians that free, fair, and credible elections will be held throughout the country.
He claims that the activities of criminal elements will not impede the government’s efforts to maintain law and order in the country.
The pledge was given by the Minister while outlining his ministry’s achievements at the ongoing President Muhammadu Buhari scorecard media series in Abuja.
Recent Attacks on several INEC Facilities resulting in deaths and injuries to some of its officials has raised fresh questions on the possibility of conducting credible elections and safety of voters in 2023.
The Independent National Electoral Commission and other relevant stakeholders have continued to reassure Nigerians that despite these setbacks, everything is under control .

He says the recent attacks by criminals elements across the country will not deter its efforts in enforcing law and order before , during and after the 2023 Polls .
Nigeria’s Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, also warns Nigerians to be objective while electing new leaders and to not give power to those who aim to reverse the country’s historic successes.
The Minister of Police Affairs, also insisted that the calculated attacks by some criminal elements on the facilities of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in some parts of the country would not the elections.
The minister assured that in spite of the violence foisted by the criminals, the election billed for February 2023, would go on nationwide as scheduled.
