Osun to showcase locally made products

Osun to showcase locally made products

Osun State Government has called on stakeholders including the media to help in sensitizing parents and guardians on the dangers posed by street hawking.

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Commerce, Akeem Okunade who stated this in Osogbo said the essence of building modern markets by the present administration would be defeated if people are not using them.

According to Okunade, many shop owners at Ayegbaju International market which was built with huge amount of money have not been using it as expected, a situation Government would not condone.

He said Government will in December this year organise a three day Conference and expo to launch made in Osun products towards showcasing efforts of small and medium scales enterprises as well as reviving the economy of the State.

While stressing the need for private individuals and corporate organisations to join Government in building the state’s economy, Okunade appealed to markets men and  to ensure they occupy the shops they acquire.
