Ogun State Government is canvassing for a review of the revenue sharing formula accruing to the federation account through non-oil taxes, including the Value Added Tax (VAT).
The State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Bimbo Ashiru made this known while highlighting ways which the government has outlined to further boost the money coming into the state.
He noted that the state has the highest number of industries and has been contributing hugely to the nation’s treasury but has not been getting amount that equals what its generates into the pool.
He noted that the state is now working on how to attract headquarters of companies into the state in order to boost what the state gets.
