Sixty-eight Athletes from Osun state will participate in 17 events at the 3rd National Youth games billed to hold in Ilorin, Kwara state between 7th and 17th of this month.
Against this backdrop, the state is targeting winning at least 41 medals including gold, sliver and bronze at the games.
The State Commissioner for social Protection, Sports and Special Needs, Biyi Odunlade who spoke at a press briefing in Osogbo said, the state is well prepared for a successful outing.
Odunlade said the state governor has approved and made available funds for the prosecution the events.
While disclosing that the state will not parade any over-age player at the games, the commissioner expressed optimism the contingents will do the state proud by winning medals.
Some of the games where the state will be represented include Taekwando, weight lifting, boxing, Table Tennis, Long Tennis, Badminton, Judo, Scrabble among others.
