The Inter-Party Advisory Council has resolved to support the dates announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the 2019 general elections.
The resolution was reached at the quarterly meeting of INEC commissioners and all political parties.
The body of registered political parties in Nigeria noted that the move will engender a sense of certainty and allow for proper planning.

The meeting also resolved to work with political parties to ensure out-of-court settlement of cases to enable the commission conduct pending elections.
