The Academic Staff Union of Universities wants President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the police to ensure the release of an abducted female lecturer.

The union lamented that Christie Angbuku, a lecturer at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, is yet to be freed a month after she was kidnapped, on her way to Kogi state.

ASUU Chairman at the University, Bemgba Anjembe told reporters that the union leaders had met with the state police command and got assurances that she will be rescued.

But there is still no information about her whereabouts.
