TVC N. It was reported that gunmen kidnapped the Principal of Kalabari National College, KNC, Mrs. S. Damiete, in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
A community source, who preferred to speak on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the victim was abducted in Buguma community, around 7:30p.m. The source identified Damiete as the wife of the Secretary to the Amanyanabo of Kalabari Kingdom, adding that contact had not been established with the kidnappers.
It was gathered that the development had ruptured peace in Buguma as people now retire to their bedrooms earlier than usual. Meanwhile, police were yet to confirm the incident, as calls made to the Public Relations Officer of the state command, DSP Omoni Nnamdi, were neither picked nor returned.
