Justice Baba Yusuf of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, on Tuesday, ordered that the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Senator Bala Mohammed be admitted to bail.
The former Minister had been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission since October the 24, 2016 when he honoured the commission’s invitation.
The Court granted him bail with two sureties who must have landed property with Certificates of Occupancy within Abuja Municipality.
In granting the application for bail filed by the lead counsel to Senator Mohammed, Chris Uche, the court upbraided the EFCC for lying under Oath with the depositions in the counter affidavit it filed challenging the bail application.
The Court adjourned the matter to December the fourteen, 2016.
