Ex-governor’s son reacts to title strip

Ex-governor’s son reacts to title strip

TVC N. Senator Abdul-Aziz Murtala Nyako  of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to being stripped off his tit. Reacting to being stripped of his title, Senator Abdul-Aziz Murtala Nyako representing Adamawa central senatorial district has reacted to being stripped of his traditional title by the Lamido of Adamawa.

In a statement issued by the senator in Abuja, the senator was full of praise and gratitude to God for the opportunity to have served the teeming youth as he has done so passionately.

He suggested that mobilizing and empowering the youth for him, has never been a burden or a task one would perceive as daunting, but a vocation that he has enjoyed and passionately discharged regardless of the title.

The senator, a firm believer in the will of Allah (SAW), accepted in good fate the card dealt him, believing that God gives and God takes away.“Allah the Almighty has decreed that my time as Sarkin Matasa Adamawa is over, and has relieved me of the title and responsibilities that go with the office. Alhamdulillah,” he said.

He said that he was most grateful to all who supported him and were instrumental in discharging his duties as Sarkin Matasa Adamawa and also prayed for God to reward them abundantly and continually exalt the youth of Adamawa. Nyako further stated as a reminder that although allegations were brought against him in the past by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), he was cleared by the Federal High Court of all charges as the allegations were libelous and aimed at defamation of character.

The Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammad Mustafa had earlier announced that Nyako and his son have been stripped of their traditional titles of Sarkin Yamma, and Sarkin Matasa respectively.
