A domestic dispute in Jigawa State has ended in tragedy after a woman killed her co-wife by pouring boiling water on her.

Police say the incident occurred in Buju village, Dutse Local Government Area.

The suspect, 20-year-old Rukayyah Amadu, attacked her co-wife, Asiyah Amadu, following a disagreement.

Asiyah sustained severe burns and was rushed to Dutse General Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police arrested the suspect, who confessed to the crime.

She has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further interrogation.

In another shocking incident, a five-week-old bride, Zainab Ibrahim, was found unconscious in a pool of blood at her home in Warware Quarters, Hadejia.

Police officers who arrived at the scene discovered a deep cut on her throat.

She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to SP Lawan Shisu Adam Police Public Relations Officer, Authorities have launched an investigation and are working to track down those responsible.

Still in Jigawa state, a 14-year-old Almajiri, Bashir Adamu, was found dead, his body mutilated in what police suspect to be a ritual killing.

His remains were discovered along the Jikas-Dabaja road in Gwaram LGA, two days after he was reported missing.

His head and private parts had been removed.

The decomposing body was identified by his teacher, Malam Musa Wada.

After medical examination, the corpse was handed over to his family for burial.

The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Tijjani, has ordered a full investigation into all three incidents.

He assured residents that efforts are being intensified to track down those responsible and bring them to justice.

He also urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement.
