Twelve persons have been killed in another clash between herdsmen and farmers at communities in Jalingo Local government area.
Five of the perpetrators have been arrested by the police.

The residents of Kona farming community in Taraba State have fled their ancestral homes after a reprisal attack on their communities by suspected militiamen.

The attack followed a confrontation by a farmer who accused a herder of intruding his farmland with his cattle.

Some of those who fled their communities and now residing at various Internally Displaced Persons camps in Jalingo shared their experiences with Tvc news.

The counselor representing one of the affected communities is seeking more security protections from both federal and state governments.

According to him, this year farming season will be a mirage if appropriate security measures are not in place.

The state police command has deployed more personnel to the area to maintain peace and order.

Food crises now looms if farming communities cannot find peace and are deserting where they call home. And except an urgent solution is found, the farms will become desolate and abandoned soon
