The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) says it is working on at setting up a mechanism that will resolve consumers’ complaints efficiently and promptly.
Speaking at a customer resolution meeting put together by the commission in Lagos for consumers of Ikeja electric, the Vice Chairman, NERC, Mr Musiliu Oseni maintains that the agency will continue the roll out of mass metering scheme to tackle the issue of estimated billing
He however urged customers to send all complaints on electricity supply and other billing issues to the nearest business unit of the electricity company serving their premises.
On her part, the Managing Director and Chief Executive, Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, Mrs Folake Soetan expressed the firm’s readiness to support the commission in providing adequate, reliable and affordable electricity supply to residents of the state.
