The trial of Chidinma Ojukwu, who is accused of conspiring to murder the Chief Executive of Super TV, Usifo Ataga was stalled at the Lagos State High Court annex at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Igbosere on Monday.

This was due to a contest of integrity of the deceased’s bank statements presented before the Judge, Yetunde Adesanya.

Miss Ojukwu is facing trial for murder, stealing and forgery alongside ADEDAPO QUADRI and CHIOMA EBUCHU.

Two representatives from Access and GTCO banks had appeared in court to tender the statements of account of the deceased as evidential documents.

But, the first defense counsel, ONWUKA EGWU, objected to the evidence being tendered, saying the document came as a spring of surprise.

The second defense counsel, BABATUNDE BUSARI, also objected to the Bank statements on the basis that it was different from the account details already tendered to the court as an exhibit.

The Lagos State Deputy Director of Public Prosecution, Adenike Oluwafemi, prayed the court for an adjournment so as make the needed adjustments.

Further hearing was fixed for Tuesday April 26, 2022.
