More facts have emerged on the recent attack by suspected armed bandits on Bafarawa village, Isa Local Government area of sokoto state.

An official of the council who wants to remain anonymous says three persons were killed in the attack. This is contrary to an earlier report that said only one person was killed.

In a telephone interview with TVCNEWS correspondent in Sokoto, the source says the bandits had earlier abducted and released eight persons unconditionally.

He explained that the bandits attacked Bafarawa village on their way back to Kamarawa forest where three persons were killed and one abducted.

According to the officials the police are aware of all that happened because their men and officers are in the town when the attack took place.

Also speaking to TVCNEWS correspondent, Director General of Bafarawa Foundation, Suleiman Shuib-Shinkafi says there is a link between the attack and the comment of the former Sokoto State governor Attahiru Bafarawa during the launch of his foundation.

Mr. Suleiman says the attack took place less 24 hours when the former governor talked about his readiness to work with all key players to end the activities of armed bandits disturbing the peace of the nation.

The proximity of Isa local government area to Zamfara state has exposed it to incessant attacks by the bandits operating around that axis.
