The intervention of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the ongoing New Naira Notes Scarcity through a 6 point agenda which he listed as panacea is necessary in his position as a public individual.

A member of the All Progressives Congress, Seun Faleye, made this disclosure while speaking on the TVC News Programme, the Breakfast Show on Tuesday Morning.

Mr Faleye said the decision to intervene through the 6 point agenda on the part of the ordinary Nigerian is a commendable act which he has made to ensure Nigerians do not suffer over the policy which he says is not the problem.

He added that the Cashless and Naira Redesign Policy itself is not the problem but the implementation is a major problem which needs to be addressed.

He said the fact the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress earlier criticised the Policy does not mean he is against it.

He described the decision to come out with a position on how he feels the current confusion and hiccups surrounding the Policy can be addressed is a sign that he has nothing against the policy but the implementation which has been poor so far.

On the decision by the Central Bank of Nigeria to blatantly disobey the ruling of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on the continued use of the Old Naira notes, Mr Faleye a Legal Practitioner, said the move is a very dangerous one from the CBN on a very specific ruling.

The expectation according to him would have been for the Supreme Court to come out to specifically dismiss the ruling and keeping silent while ignoring the ruling with impunity.

He said the Central Bank of Nigeria should bury its head in shame over the poor implementation of the programme and the excruciating hardship many are going through which according to him is avoidable.

He said the silence of other political stakeholders in addressing a Policy that has brought hardship to Nigerians is worrying with only Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that is on the side of the people urging the government to address the issue.

He said the other parties, Candidates and their supporters have continued to urge Nigerians to continue to suffer saying all is well.

He said he and the Presidential Candidate of the APC and many Others who are perceptive can see that the streets are not smiling and that danger looms.

He expressed disappointment that the Other candidates have aligned their ambition and self interest with the suffering of the people.

Going Further he said the solutions proffered by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu aligns with some of the recommendations of the Council of State and urged the Central Bank to look closely at it and align to stop suffering.

He disclosed that the Central Bank of Nigeria as is constituted has lost the confidence of Nigerians.
