Tade Ogidan makes a come back into Nollywood with “GOLD STATUE”

Veteran Nollywood film maker, CEO OGD Pictures, Tade Ogidian is set to make a comeback into the Nollywood industry after eight years with the release of a new movie titled ‘GOLD STATUE’

The well-respected filmmaker who is known for his established tradition of film production says the movie ‘Gold Statue’ will be one of its kind.

Among the evergreen movies Mr Ogidan has produced include, Owo Blow, Raging Storm, Out of Bounds and Playing Games.

Gold Statue is a comedy-drama that follows the adventure of two young men, Wale (Gabriel Afolayan) and Chike (Kunle Remi) in search of a ‘Gold Statue’ believed to have been a deity inherited by their generation.

In trying to locate where the supposed ‘Gold Statue’ is located, they go through a series of unimaginable ordeal and put themselves through some ridiculous painful situations that leave their parents shocked.

“GOLD STATUE” will feature movie legends like Gabriel Afolayan, Kunle Remi, RMD, Sola Sobowale, Norbert Young, Segun Arinze, Kelvin Iduba and others.

The movie will be released in cinemas from May 17th and kunle Afolayan’s MOKALIK on May 31st 2019.
