Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Gbenga Komolafe, on his 62nd birthday.

In a message issued on Friday through his Chief Press Secretary, Leke Olatunji Baiyewu, the Speaker described Komolafe as “a reformer” in Nigeria’s petroleum sector and “an inspiration to many public officers.”

He praised Komolafe for his diligence and patriotism, noting that as the pioneer head of the NUPRC, he has recorded major successes in implementing the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) and spearheading reforms that have enhanced efficiency and productivity in the oil and gas industry.

Speaker Abbas urged the NUPRC chief to continue driving reforms in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and assured him of the 10th House’s legislative support for innovations and capacity-building in the sector.
