Spain to Receive $50m After Winning 2026 FIFA World Cup

FIFA has announced the prize money for the top four teams at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with newly crowned champions Spain set to receive the tournament’s highest financial reward of $50 million.

Spain secured the title on Sunday after edging defending champions Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final at the New York New Jersey Stadium, claiming their second world title.

Barcelona forward Ferran Torres scored the decisive goal in extra time to hand Luis de la Fuente’s side victory and the championship prize.

Argentina, whose bid to retain the World Cup ended in the final, will receive $33 million after finishing as runners-up.

England, meanwhile, will take home $29 million after defeating France 6-4 in Saturday’s third-place playoff to finish third in the tournament.

France, beaten by England in the bronze medal match, will receive $27 million for placing fourth.
