The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which earlier went on a short break have resumed proceedings at the judgement on the petition filed by the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakir challenging the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as winner of the presidential election conducted on the 23rd of February.
So far a total of 62 witnesses have been called, with President Buhari calling a total of 7 witnesses
The presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 presidential election challenged the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the election.
The petitioner alleged that the president’ was not qualification to contest the election, which was marred by malpractices, alteration of election
results and violence amongst others.
