The police commissioner explained that the ban aims to protect government and private property from damage, prevent environmental pollution, maintain smooth traffic flow, and ensure public safety during the festivities.
He also called on vulcanisers to properly dispose of or secure used tyres at the end of each business day to prevent unauthorized access by members of the public.
Mohammed further urged parents and guardians to advise their children against burning tyres or participating in any unlawful activities during the New Year celebrations.
He reassured residents that the Nasarawa State Police Command remains committed to ensuring a peaceful, safe, and orderly celebration for everyone.
