A petrol tanker accident triggered a fire outbreak late on Wednesday, February 11, along Agege Motor Road, Ikeja Along axis of Lagos State, after a vehicle transporting Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) overturned.
Reports indicate that the petrol tanker lost control and fell, spilling large volumes of fuel onto the roadway.
The spillage quickly ignited, resulting in a blaze that engulfed the tanker and affected traffic movement in the area.

Emergency response teams, including officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), were immediately deployed to the scene to manage the situation, secure the area, and control vehicular movement while efforts to contain the fire continued.
According to LASTMA, the burnt tanker has been successfully removed from the roadway as at the time of filing this report.
They also disclosed that traffic flow which was earlier disrupted has been fully restored and normalcy returned to the area.
