The Osun state government says the introduction of weighing scale in Osun markets is in the best interest of both the sellers and buyers.
Market women in the state had staged a peaceful protest in Osogbo on Thursday against the enforcement of the use of weighing scale recently introduced by the State Government.

The market women who all held their old traditional measuring tool popularly called “Kongo” said the use of weighing scale should start at various farm markets from where they all buy their goods.
But the Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce, Femi Popoola said the introduction of weighing scale is in the interest of both the sellers and buyers
