The Osun state government says there is no outbreak of Lassa Fever in the state as reported in some quarters.
The state commissioner for information and strategy, Adelani Baderinwa stated this while speaking with TVC News in Osogbo on the reported death recorded as a result of Lassa Fever few days ago.

Baderinwa said what was reported was an isolated case of a young man from a neighboring state who died at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
He enjoined residents not to panic as the state government is doing all within its power to ensure there is no outbreak of the disease.
