Troops of 3 Division of Operation SAFE HAVEN have conducted a raid operation at the hideout of a wanted criminal in Plateau State.
The operation was based on intelligence obtained from another suspect earlier arrested for terrorism related activities.
During the operation, the suspect narrowly escaped but troops searched the hideout and recovered one AK-47 rifle and magazine.

The recovered weapon is in custody while troops are making efforts to arrest the fleeing criminal.
In another development, troops acting on intelligence on the movement of bandits along Road Pinau, Bangalala in Wase LGA of Plateau State, laid ambush at a bandit crossing point.
Troops made contact and killed one bandit during the operation, while others fled.
