The Ondo State Judiciary has announced the death of Justice Bamidele Fola Adeyeye of the State High Court.
Justice Adeyeye, who presided over High Court 5 in Akure, died on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Akure by the Chief Registrar of the Ondo State High Court, Mr Ayodeji Akinsanya.
“It is with deep sorrow and profound grief that the Ondo State Judiciary announces the passing of Hon. Justice B. F. Adeyeye, a distinguished jurist and serving Judge of High Court 5, Akure.
“Justice Adeyeye departed this earthly realm on Thursday, 12th March, 2026,” the statement said.
The judiciary described the late judge as a committed and principled jurist whose service on the bench reflected dedication to justice and the rule of law.
“Justice Adeyeye was a beacon of integrity, wisdom, and dedication to the cause of justice.

“His years of service on the bench were marked by an unwavering commitment to fairness, equity, and the rule of law,” it stated.
According to the statement, the late jurist earned widespread respect among members of the bench, the bar and the public due to his scholarship, humility and impartiality in adjudication.
It added that his contributions to the growth of the judiciary and the promotion of justice in Ondo State would remain lasting.
The statement noted that his death represented a significant loss not only to the state judiciary but also to the state and the country.
“On behalf of the judges, magistrates, and staff of the Ondo State Judiciary, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Hon. Justice B. F. Adeyeye.
“We pray that Almighty God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and that the soul of our departed brother rests in perfect peace,” the statement added.
Justice Adeyeye was sworn in as a judge of the Ondo State High Court on September 8, 2011.
Born on January 16, 1961, he founded the law firm, Fola Adeyeye & Co., in Okitipupa, Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state before his appointment to the bench.
