Ngozi Nkonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, has reacted to a street art portrait of her since 2021, by an artist from Kaduna State.

The artist, identified as Bamaiyi Danladi Art on X with username @BamaiyiDanladi, shared the portrait on

However, as fate would have it, the World Trade Organisation DG didn’t see the street art until 4 years later, today.

She expressed excitement about the beautiful art, saying, “Wow! Several friends have forwarded this to me. I don’t normally like portraits of myself ( I don’t believe I am that important to warrant portraits), but I do want to salute @BamaiyiDanladi for his great talent and creativity. People know I love African, especially Nigerian, art and artists. So much talent and creativity in our country and on the continent!!”
