The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested three suspects connected to the gas leak scare in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
The suspects were allegedly involved in the procurement and refilling of gas without proper licence and adoption of safety measures.
Godwin Agwam reports that a woman and her two children were allegedly responsible for the gas leakage scare in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital. Her husband, the CEO of Monaco Gas station is currently at large.
They are allegedly responsible for illegally operating a gas station in their residence. Their illegal activities led to an averted gas explosion in their neighborhood.

A similar act by the suspects in 2018, allegedly led to the deaths of many.
The suspects have been arrested by the the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps with the assistance of the Department of Petroleum Resources and the State Fire Service.
Residents believed the arrest of the suspects will serve as a warning to other illegal operators in the state.
