Edo State police command has dismissed claims that it was ISWAP that carried out the attack at Ibillo-Igarra Road Junction, where a police officer was killed and operational vehicle burnt as reported by Sahara reporters on September 22, 2022.
The command Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor who spoke to TVC News on exclusive telephone interview said there is no presence of ISAWP or it’s like in the state.
According to him, the command has dispatched a team of police officers led by the deputy commissioner of police operations , DCP, Dantawaye Miller for a search and possible arrest of the hoodlums who carries out the attack..
He restates its command commitment to the protection of lives and property in the state and the sustenance of a safe environment for citizens to go about their lawful businesses.
