Nigerian Army Reaffirm Commitment to Community Development

The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen. Farouk Yahaya has reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to deepening Civil-Military Relationship by embarking on community developmental projects.

The Army Chief who was represented by the Commandant, Nigerian School of supply and transportation, made this known at the commissioning of a rebranded Six block class rooms and new science laboratory built by the Nigerian Army in Utoka Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.

 

The event is the commissioning and handing over of block of classrooms and an equipped laboratory building in Oto-Okha community by the Nigerian Army.

This follows the chief of Army Staff’s quest and believe in enhancing the education sector across the country

The commandant, Nigerian Army school of supply and transport, says the Army views education as crucial to eradicating poverty, building peace and fostering intercultural dialogue, and it remains committed to supporting the government in providing quality education in the country.

He maintains that equal opportunities should be given to all the deserving citizens of the country, whether in the urban or rural communities.

Traditional ruler and other community leaders appreciated the generous gifts from the Nigerian army which they say will help accelerate learning and provide contemporary spaces to support research and teaching.
