NBBF fixes Int’l friendlies for national teams

Image result for nigeria basketball associationNigeria’s senior men’s and women’s national basketball teams will play international friendly games against top-ranked countries preparatory to the continental championships slated to hold this year.

President of the Nigeria basketball federation, Tijani umar confirmed this and said Lithuania, Australia, France, Serbia and China have all been invited.

Nigeria automatically qualify for the FIBA Afrobasket championship as reigning champions and will not play the regional qualifiers.

D’tigers moved up nine places in the FIBA world ranking, a situation Umar considers as an improvement in the sport in Nigeria.
