The Kebbi State Government has firmly denied recent allegations made by the Centre for Reforms and Public Advocacy that it uses security agencies to harass, intimidate, and detain critics, describing them as false, malicious, and a clear display of ignorance.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, the state government dismissed all accusations as lacking substance, evidence, and fairness. Idris emphasized that the administration of Governor Nasir Idris is inclusive and transparent, ensuring all citizens are carried along in governance.
He further noted that the claims were a calculated attempt to discredit the administration’s achievements, especially its ongoing developmental projects under the Kauran Gwandu-led government.
