Kaura Namoda Emirate in Zamfara has donated medicines and other consumables to Orphans and less privileged clinic in Kaura Namoda Local government area.Presenting the items to the management committee of the clinic, the Emir of Kaura Namoda Dr. Sanusi Muhammad Asha said the gesture is to support the Clinic which it’s primary responsibility is to give free medical treatment to orphans and the less privileged in the society.
The Zamfara State Government through the Zakkat and endowment Board had over a decade ago build orphans and less privileged clinics across the Fourteen Local Government areas of the state with the aim of assisting orphans and less privileged to access quality healthcare delivery at no cost
The emir said the move to support the Clinic becomes necessary considering it’s nature, importance and purpose of the clinic
He said all hands must be on deck to assist the operation of the health facility to discharge it’s duty effectively
The emir appeal to cooperate organisations and well to do individuals to always think of ways to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged
The paramount ruler of Kaura Namoda emirate called on health institutions and medical personnel to lend a helping hands to the clinic to enable it operate in a standard that it is meant for
The traditional ruler noted that effort is underway to expand the clinic to have a maternity unit and other wards that will carter for patients effectively and operate round the clock
Receiving the items on behalf of the clinic, the chairman of the clinic management committee Sa’adu Aliyu expresses gratitude and appreciation to the emir for the gesture, adding that it is timely and worthy of emulation
He said the Gesture will go a long way to assist patients in the clinic and other needy in Society
Orphans and less privileged clinic in Kaura Namoda is one of the few functional clinics among the fourteen they were established over ten years ago
The items donated by the emirate includes Antibiotics, Antimalaria, Analgesics, Medical Consumables among others
Those in the Emirs entourage to the deliver the goods includes Council Members of the Emirate, District Heads, Medical/Health personnel among others.
