Jaiz Charity Foundation donates N7m to UNHCR

Image result for Displaced Persons: Foundation donates N7m to UNHCRThe United Nations High Commission for Refugees has received seven Million Naira from a charity organisation, Jaiz charity and development foundation, to support care for the internally displaced in the North East.

The UNHCR relies on independent donors and donor agencies to fulfill its obligation of caring for the internally displaced and refugees around the world.

A cheque of 7 million Naira donated to the UNHCR Nigeria to help mitigate the unpleasant conditions of the internally displaced in the North East.

For over 10years, the North East region in Nigeria had been ravaged by insurgents leaving over 2 million people in 3 states of the North East without homes or basic needs

Image result for Displaced Persons: Foundation donates N7m to UNHCRIn order to fulfill its mandate of giving,  the Jaiz foundation is one of many donor agencies who have made it a duty to rise to the needs of these helpless Nigerians

This gesture is inline with Islamic injunctions and the mission of the foundation

In appreciation,  the UNHCR Representative to Nigeria and ECOWAS says beyond the fact that this will help bring relief to hundreds of the internally displaced in various camps, it is a message to Nigerians to help other vulnerable citizens

The impact of the private sector in alleviating poverty cannot be over emphasised especially as the number of internally displaced persons across the world increases

All religious faiths in Nigeria are built on the tenets of giving and being your brothers keeper should be at the forefront of impact on the very vulnerable in the country.
