Unrelenting in its efforts to serve the lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye his recall notice, the Independent National Electoral Commission sent its officials to the National Assembly this Tuesday.
The officials, who dropped off petitions received from Melaye’s constituents to recall him, waited while the lawmaker was in the Senate chamber.
The lawmaker’s office was under lock and key and his aides were not around to receive the notice.
Just yesterday, Melaye had said the 90-day deadline set for INEC by Section 69 of the amended 1999 Constitution has expired.
