The Independent National Electoral Commission has accused political parties of deliberately masterminding violence for the purpose of winning elections at all cost.
The electoral umpire said more 600 court cases emanated from parties primaries, accusing them of inability to organise a free and credible primary elections for themselves.
The Kwara state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Garba Madami stated this at a round-table on peaceful 2019 general elections, organised by the Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ilorin.
He said security arrangements have been made to deter desperate politicians from causing mayhem at the polls.
