The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions and Chairman of the Southern Senators’ Forum, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Lagos East Senatorial District and across Nigeria.
In his Easter goodwill message, Senator Abiru underscored the importance of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences. He urged citizens to reflect deeply on the significance of Easter, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to embrace the enduring values of love, sacrifice, and hope.
“On this commemoration of life, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us be guided by His teachings and strive to live in peace and harmony with one another, as exemplified by Christ”, the Senator stated.
He further called on Nigerians across all faiths to remain steadfast in their prayers for the nation and to support the ongoing efforts of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration aimed at building a stronger and more prosperous country.
Senator Abiru noted that the Easter season presents an opportunity for renewed hope and collective resolve, encouraging citizens to contribute meaningfully to national development.
