The Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri has promised to apply more efforts at reducing the current economic hardship in the state.
He made this known while meeting with some representatives of the hunger protest at the government house in Yenagoa.
Meeting the Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri in the conference hall of the government house are representatives of the End Bad Government protest held earlier in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Backing down after engagement by key players in the state, they are here to dialogue with the Governor on the salient issues of police brutality and high cost of living, especially the rising cost of food items and petrol pump price.

Noting their concerns, the Governor expresses readiness to mitigate the cost of food items and engage security agencies over youths intimidation.
After the meeting, the Governor also holds a media parley with journalists in the state, as he intimates the public on the policies and plans of the government to sustain the prosperity and peace in the state.
