Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has called for resolute and coordinated initiatives aimed at developing an African Union database of persons or groups involved in terrorist acts.
The President made this call in his remarks at the African Union Peace and Security meeting holding in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
Buhari believes the timely establishment of this tool at the continental level will be strategic for use by law enforcement agents in the fight against insurgency.
He also noted that good governance, economic development and job creation are key factors in defeating terrorism.
