The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI has carried out a precision strike on terrorist positions in Borno State, neutralising several insurgents and destroying a logistics vehicle.

The operation, conducted in the early hours of June 7, targeted terrorist elements in the Cross Kauwa–Ali Sherifti axis following credible intelligence on their activities.

According to military authorities, surveillance operations identified a group of terrorists concealed under dense foliage, while another cluster was sighted near a vehicle hidden within the area.

Air assets subsequently engaged the targets, neutralising at least eight terrorists in the initial strike.

Further battle damage assessment revealed additional fighters attempting to flee the scene, prompting a follow-up strike.

The second engagement eliminated the fleeing insurgents and destroyed the concealed logistics vehicle, which was seen engulfed in flames.

Military sources said the operation significantly degraded the operational and logistical capacity of the террорист group, reinforcing ongoing efforts to restrict their movement and disrupt supply chains.

The Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to sustained offensive operations against insurgents, working in coordination with other security agencies to restore peace and stability across the North East.
