Nine persons have been killed in Sabuwa Tunga community in Maru Local Government area of Zamfara state.
The state government said the armed men stormed the community in their hundreds on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically and unleashing terror on the locals.
The bandits after attacking the community, carted away livestock, food stuffs and escaped into the forest.
