Muslim clerics in Kano State, North-West Nigeria, have organised a special prayer for judges of the election petition tribunal, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.
The prayers were conducted ahead of the Kano Governorship Election Supreme Court hearing scheduled for Thursday.
Its a gathering of Islamic clerics from the three sects of Tijjaniya, Qadiriyya, and Izalah.
They are here to offer special prayers for judges of the Kano Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, judges of the Court of Appeal, and judges of the Supreme Court.
The prayers were conducted shortly after reciting the Quran.
The prayers were conducted in the presence of some All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains.
The prayers are coming a few days to the date set by the Supreme Court to hear the appeals filed by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) challenging the removal of Governor Abba Yusuf by the Court of Appeal.
