Sanwoolu commissions Okitipupa-Igbokoda Bypass in Ondo

Governor Sanwoolu commissioning the Okitipupa-Igbokoda bypass

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated the 10-kilometre Okitipupa-Igbokoda bypass road, constructed by the Rotimi Akeredolu administration in Ondo State.

Governor Akeredolu said his government has achieved a lot in terms of development of infrastructure, through execution of people-oriented projects in the state.

It is inauguration of the 10-kilometre Okitipupa-Igbokoda bypass road in Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State.

The road is one of the many projects executed by the Governor Rotimi Akeredolu administration across the State.

Traditional rulers, top government officials, religious leaders among others, witnessed the epoch-making event.

In their goodwill messages, some of the traditional rulers described the project as impactful and necessary.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu said the project was designed to ease traffic along the Okitipupa axis.

He urged the people to make good use of the road.

On his part, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu described his Ondo counterpart as an achiever, who has passion for development of the society.

The 10-kilometre road, which was constructed through a virgin land, will provide alternative route for travellers and ease heavy traffic in Okitipupa town.

The 10 Kilometres Okitipupa-Igbokoda Bypass was a campaign promise of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, during his electioneering campaign in 2020 to the area.

He has also promised to deliver more roads and Other projects to the people of the area in the coming months and weeks.

The Ondo State Government and its Lagos State Counterpart are collaborating to build what is called the Coastal road which is expected to connect the two States through the Lekki axis of Lagos to the Coastal regions of Ondo State to reduce Travel time and ensure faster Business link and travel time between the two States.

State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has made the enhancement of the State’s Economy a cardinal point of his programmes and having a better link to the nations economic powerhouse is a good Starting point.
