As Nigeria heads towards the yuletide period, there seems to be no end in sight to the ongoing scarcity and hike in price of the premium motor spirit in some parts of the country.
At this meeting held by the Ibadan depot of Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria, the members lament what they termed outrageous prices been incurred to purchase fuel from Independent depot owners.
The marketers are accusing the government of not allowing them to pay into the NNPC account such that they can be allowed to purchase petroleum at a relatively cheaper price.
They want the government to make a U-turn or risk total shutdown in both Oyo and Osun states.
On the activities of Tanker Drivers during yuletide, the IPMAN Chairman says they are partnering with relevant agencies to forestall the disasters.
The Ibadan Depot covers Oyo State, parts of Kwara, Osun,Ekiti,Ondo and Ogun States respectively.
