APGA Governorship Candidate, Gregory Ibe says Abia state has remained in the PDP after 24 years of democracy despite concerted efforts by some people to upstage the party in the past.
Prof. Ibe indicated that he was a member of the PDP till March 30, and that all efforts and funds spent in the party were wasted.

“The agreement we reached that after the South it will come to the North and everything and i went back to APGA with my whole heart.
Speaking on his quest to become governor, Mr Ibe said ” our former governor asked me to step down for him. And I stepped down on the day of the screening so that the zoning formula that operates in Abia can work effectively when it comes to 2023″.
Mr Ibe commended the consistency and tenacity of the party’s founding fathers, elders, Traditional rulers, Stake holders, the clergy, professional bodies etc. in Abia state in holding the peace and cohabitation of the people of Abia State with deep considerations and equanimity.
Prof Ibe who spoke on some of his accomplishments said ‘I own a private University where over 400 young boys and girls from 17 local government attend.
“Throughout the Covid period, I took care of everybody in Abia state, ward by ward. I took care by supplying rice, COVID, medicines, three ambulances to the state government to help fight the pandemic.
“Everything I’ve ever done, I want to see a comparison from anybody who has done it in my state.
“I have also been running medical outreach and surgery in 17 local government. Nobody has the capacity to do it in my state.
Speaking on how he gets funds for his investment in the University, Prof Ibe said has been involved in various project construction prior to owning his University.
