Fela and the kalakuta queens is set to screened in cinema’s in south Africa in partnership with Ster-kinekor, the leading South African Cinema chain.
Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions and Terra Kulture Arts made this announcement in a statement made available to journalists.
According to the Bolanle Austen-Peters, It is indeed exciting times in the African Theatre industry and BAP Production is proudly flying the Nigerian flag internationally.
She noted that it is the first time a Nigerian stage play has been converted to screen, after successful outings in Cairo Egypt, Pretoria South Africa, Lagos and Abuja.
FELA AND THE KALAKUTA QUEENS will be in cinemas across South Africa from September to October 2021.
Created and Directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters and Fela and the Kalakuta Queens is supported by the Estate of Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
