Hijab Controversy: Kwara finally reopens ten grants-aided Schools

The ten grants-aided Christian-named schools closed down because of the Hijab issue have finally been reopened following the directive of the state government that all staff of the schools report back to duty today.

Although gates to some of the schools were locked in the morning, government officials opened them to allow teachers have access to the school premises.

Some church leaders locked and barricaded the entrance to the C & S college, Sabo Oke, Ilorin but this did not stop government officials from opening the school gate.

At Baptist LGEA primary and secondary schools, Surulere, Ilorin, all went peacefully as against the violence that was witnessed on Wednesday.

But in most of the schools, students did it show up while those that were in school were allowed to use the hijab.
