Members of the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners in Gombe State earlier today, Wednesday blocked the main entrance into the Government House.
The Pensioners who were led by the Union Chairman, Mohammed Abubakar were protesting several months of unpaid pensions.
They complained that other 700 Local Government retirees have not been enrolled into the monthly pension scheme after over two years of retirement, amongst many others.
Security personnel stationed at the gate of the Government House had a hectic time controlling the protesters who insisted on seeing the Governor.
There were reports that the Governor is out of the State, and in an undisclosed location.
However, there was no movement into or out of the Government House.
